Through communities at The Sanctuary, we learn how to love God with all our heart and love our neighbor as ourselves. We are created in God’s image and designed for relationships at the very core of our being, first with Him and also with others. Through relationships, we give and receive a taste of God’s love, His goodness and His character. Yet, because of our brokenness, we also experience hurt, pain and suffering in relationships. Outside of regular services at The Sanctuary, the primary place where we learn to worship our God and love in smaller communities is through our House Churches that meet on the last Sunday of each month in various places around the city. Click on the links at right to learn more! Our hope is that all kinds of additional communities will form through the vision of individuals & groups within the House Churches as they come up with different ideas, visions & dreams and find others who share similar passions. Instead of programs being formed from the leadership of the church, various programs will grow of those in our body and allow their giftings to bless others in the larger church. These communities might take the shape of small groups, Bible studies, book clubs, classes, retreats, men’s or women’s events, singles events, outdoor activities, etc. If you have an idea, start praying and sharing your idea with others in your House Church. When God raises up a few others to join you in the vision, let your House Church Pastor know how he/she can support you. If the idea is one that would include church-wide participation, contact Frances for further support, direction and advertising. You have unique gifts to bless others and we want you to use them! |
