Ministry Partner Guidelines
For Board Approval to Become a Ministry Partner at the Sanctuary:
- The ministry honors & uplifts the message of Jesus Christ.
- The ministry must be a 501C3 or incorporated as a non-profit.
- There are practical ways that groups and individuals in the body may be involved with the ministry by volunteering their time & service.
- We prefer that the mission/ministry is distinctly different from previously existing partners and represents a new category of outreach, i.e. homeless, orphanages, military, prostitutes, homosexual community, unwed mothers, etc.
- The Point Person is able to fulfill the following requirements:
- The Point Person is a member of The Sanctuary, with this church being their primary place of worship. (Exception: Oversees missionaries)
- Be the main contact for anyone interested & follow through with getting them involved, building a relationship with them.
- Oversee & recruit your own volunteers from The Sanctuary for your ministry. While we will provide opportunity for announcements through E-news, Snews, announcements at the service and Ministry Highlights during a worship service, the responsibility lies with the point person to invite & recruit volunteers.
- Head up, organize, and lead any volunteer opportunities you are
- promoting for others to be involved. We do not want to promote opportunities that you, yourself, are not attending or present to lead others from the Sanctuary. Many times people join in volunteering because of a relationship they want to build with you, as a fellow member of The Sanctuary.
- Be available for a “Ministry Hightlight” during Sanctuary Foothills and Sanctuary Downtown worship service. (We want you to present this, not another person from the ministry that is outside of our church.)
Level 1 Ministry Partners -
- We will assign a month for a “Ministry Highlight” at a worship service at least 1x/year and allow the point person to set up a booth in the fellowship area.
- We will allow the point person to use E-news, S-news and announcements in the service to communicate upcoming ministry events.
- We will make the building available for ministry events & fundraisers.
- (A minimal donation to cover costs is appreciated)
- We will give monthly financial support out of The Sanctuary budget in the amount determined by the Board and recommended by the Missions Committee.
- May be “adopted” by a specific Community Group, which may provide volunteers or additional financial support.
Level 2 Ministry Affiliates –
- If the calendar availability permits, we will assign a month for a “Ministry Highlight” at a worship service and allow the point person to set up a booth in the fellowship area.
- We will allow the point person to use E-news, S-news and announcements in the service to communicate upcoming ministry events.
- We will make the building available for ministry events & fundraisers.
- (A minimal donation to cover costs is appreciated)
